They were both married but bound by a curse and the story tells of how the witch tried countless times to free Elias from being bound in a wolf's body. They manage to share some precious moments together, but, like the classic Shakespearean story, that moment was short lived. This story was an enjoyable read. The story of the witch reminded me quite a bit of Romeo and Juliet, with similar themes as the play. The love between the witch and Elias was evident, and was very sweet to read about.
The imagery in this story was another thing that I really enjoyed. I personally love being able to imagine every scene that I read about, and I was easily able to do this. I could clearly imagine the moonlight, the forest, river, etc.
I think the story would have been even better had there been more developed characters and had more background information been given on the relationships of the characters. However, since it was a short story, I do realize that it may be difficult to incorporate all of this, and believe that it was well written nevertheless.
