Step 4: Mock Cable Border
Repeat rows 1 and 2 of the Mock Cable Border as done in Step 2 for a total of 8 rows.
Step 5: Bind Off
Bind off all stitches and secure the yarn.
Step 6: Creating the Keyhole
With a tapestry needle, fold the scarf in half lengthwise. On one end, count 10 stitches from the edge and attach a stitch marker.
Starting from the stitch marker, use your tapestry needle to sew a straight line across 6 stitches. Leave the remaining stitches unsewn.
Secure the yarn and weave in any loose ends.

This knitting pattern is for a Neck Scarf which is worked in a lovely mock cable stitch. The 'keyhole' keeps the Scarf fastened and adds an interesting flair to the design. Width: 12cm [5 ins]
Length: 90cm [35½ ins].
Yarn required: 2 balls Knoll Kilcarra Tweed, 50g balls@80m.
Needles required: A pair of 5.00mm [UK 6, US 8] knitting needles.
Wool needle for sewing in ends.
Tension: 16 sts and 23 rows to 10cm [4 ins] over stocking st, using 5.00mm needles.
